We shall adhere to the latest Bank Negara Malaysia’s Claims Settlement Practices and collaborate with the related parties to uphold the Insurers and Takaful Operators-Repairers Code of Conduct.
Core Principles of a Motor Loss Adjuster
- Possess the attributes of integrity, responsibility, transparent and interpersonal skills.
- Be accountable for and answerable to all the assigned tasks.
- Good time management & punctuality.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to master judgmental and analytical skills.
Professional Expertise
- Possess the required technical expertise and always enhance yourself in tandem with current industry needs.
- Willing to participate any related Courses organized or subsidized by LASB.
- IT savvy.
Conflicts of interest
- In order to adhere the core principles of Loss Adjuster, all of our staff required to disclose / declare to us about any of your immediate family members or relatives are working in insurance companies, adjusting firms or workshop.
- All of our staff are required to disclose / declare to us any of our assigned insurance claims in which our staff or any of his / her family members or friends have vested interests. Consent of survey / loss assessment on the subject matters / needs to be granted by the immediate superior.
Behaviour and Self-Image
- No offensive language is allowed when communicate with all the stakeholders.
- Formal wear or smart casual when conducting all kinds of surveys.
- Member should conduct themselves with courtesy and consideration to all people with whom they come into contact and ensure that no disadvantage is occasioned on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage / civil partnership, race, religious belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Ethnics
- A Loss Adjuster shall act fairly and justly when acting on instructions from your superior in relation to all the assigned tasks. A Loss Adjuster should understand that they are trusted by LASB to conduct an independent and impartial surveys and investigations on the subject matters.
- A Loss Adjuster should bound to observe the core principles of LASB at all times. During your employment, your conduct shall not to discredit the Company and you shall be expected to perform the duties assigned to you in a loyal, efficient, trustworthy and honest manner.
- Loss Adjuster shall not provide hospitality or other benefits to clients or employees of clients companies of kind or scale or value. In the meantime, you are required to declare to your superiors any hospitalities or benefits so received.
- All our Staff are not allowed either directly or indirectly involved in similar business to or competing with the Company’s business.
Confidentiality
- Loss Adjuster shall not disclose our recommended Cost of Repairs and Investigation outcomes to any parties other than handling insurers. All the documents collected and information gathered during our survey and investigation shall be secured and kept confidentially.
- Loss Adjuster shall not, at any time during your employment with the company or afterwards make public, divulge or disclose to any person any information as to the business dealings or affairs of the company or as to any other matters concerning the company which may come to your knowledge in the course of your employment with the company.
Anti-Bribery & Corruption
- Loss Adjuster shall not commit an offence under the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission Act 2009 and shall comply with all applicable anti- bribery and corruption laws, rules, regulations and orders and shall not receive, offer, pay or promise to pay either directly or indirectly, anything of value to anyone in connection with any business opportunities, engagements, transactions or contracts, nor shall it make any facilitation payments, which are payments to induce officials to perform routine functions they are otherwise obligated to perform.
